Post Malone taps Luke Combs to launch him into his Country era: Everything we know

By now we all know Post Malone has been inching closer and closer to entering his Country music era. So to officially make the jump he’s enlisted Luke Combs to help him hop on the bandwagon.

Posty first started dipping his toe into the world of Country music towards the end of last year. First with the “duet” version of Joe Diffie ’s “Pickup Man,” which he performed at the 2023 CMA Awards, alongside song partners Morgan Wallen and HARDY for a special tribute to the late icon. Then, just last weekend Post crooned for the Super Bowl LVIII crowd in Las Vegas with his acoustic guitar rendition of “America The Beautiful.”

He’s also covered Brad Paisley ’s “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song),” and performed on stage with a number of other Country stars, including Blake Shelton , Little Big Town and Darius Rucker .

At this point Post has dipped his toe in pretty much ever genre. Starting off as a rapper of sorts, before pivoting back-and-forth between Rock, Pop and every combination in between. So now it’s finally time for a detour into Country.

In a clip shared by Post on IG, Malone is seen energetically playing air drums, cigarette in hand, as he shakes his head and sings along to his collab with Combs . While the song title has yet to be shared, based off the snippet some are speculating it to be called “Ain’t Got a Guy For That.”

And here’s why — in the clip, Combs can be heard singing “No VIP up at MIT / And they still won’t let me fly the time machine,” before Malone picks up the chorus, singing, “She’s searching for someone good who’s gonna built it back / Ain’t I ain’t got a guy for that / Ain’t got a guy for that.”
