Machine Gun Kelly ’s tattoo collection just got larger, or is it smaller? Covering up years of tattoo artwork in one fell swoop, the musician covered nearly his entire upper body and arms in pure black ink.

Debuting the shocking new look on his freshly cleansed Instagram page on Tuesday, February 20, a shirtless MGK posed showing off the extreme transformation. Gone are his colorful sleeve and chest tats, and instead apart from a few stripes, is just solid black from his neckline to his mid torso and down his arms.

While his arms give off kinda tribal vibes, MGK’s entirely blacked out chest is broken up with the top half of a cross, showing his previous tats peeking through, that connects to the bottom half vertical line via additional shading added down his waistline.

To caption the snapshot, Kelly, who’s newly added his government name, Colson, to his IG bio, wrote — "For spiritual purposes only,” and then thanked his tattoo artist R O X X.

On her Instagram page, Roxx shared a different photo of the Kelly’s new ink writing, "Made some art with @machinegunkelly. Never met a tougher one.”

As you might imagine, the internet had mixed reviews about the intense ink, including some who were baffled that MGK covered some of his most identifiable tattoos, including many tributes to his hometown of Cleveland.

“Covering up the Cleveland tats is crazy bra,” one commenter wrote. “Wow. All dat previous work down da drain,” another wrote. While another said, “you had such an awesome bodysuit… this is yikes.” Defending the dramatic transformation, one fan wrote, “It’s not him getting rid of his old tattoos. Look at it spiritually, he’s starting over. He’s changing himself and evolving into something stronger and better.”

Well, either way, MGK’s choice is not for us to judge. As Salt-N-Pepa say in there absolute bop “None Of Your Business,” “there’s only one judge, and that’s…” well it’s not Judy.
