Cardi B's ex Offset directs her in new 'Like What (Freestyle)' video: Watch it now

Cardi B is back and she’s ready to “put some gas in this motherf***in year,” starting with her new single, “Like What (Freestyle).”

Threaded with a sample of Missy Elliott ’s “She’s A B****,” off her 1999 album Da Real World , on the track Cardi brags, boasts, and “talked her s***,” going off on the chorus, rapping “Classy and a c*** / Blocks and money gettin’ spunt / Like, like what? / Like a Coach bag, baby, this ain’t what you want / If I ask for it, all I wanna hear is, ‘Yes’ / B**** said she wanna be my opp, God bless.”

Cardi’s single arrives with a jaw dropping music video, directed by none other than her ex(?) Offset . The question mark is because when it comes to this on again off again couple, we never really know where they stand.

Anyway, slaying from start to finish, the accompanying video is giving lavish lifestyle, as Cardi is seen walking through her circular window-filled mansion, taking breaks to properly gyrate and lounge by the pool as she eats sushi out of a YSL bag. While the clothing amount was limited, it was high-fashion and had us in a choke hold with each extravagant new look.

Last week, after Cardi B replaced her social media profile pictures with a slate of solid black, fans were left confused, putting on a playful search party for the rapper. The hashtag #WhereIsCardi began to trend, and memes and missing posters started to circulate about the star’s whereabouts.

A day or two later, making sure her fans didn’t fret, Cardi took to IG to share what she’s been up to. Posting the single’s artwork, Cardi captioned the post, “YA FOUND ME,” and announced “Like What (Freestyle)” would arrive on Friday.

And this is only the beginning… While she served up an impressive list of collabs, singles, and features, it’s been nearly six years since she released her debut album, Invasion of Privacy . That being said, Cardi seems to be hinting her sophomore album is on its way, as the words “This is just the beginning… stay tuned,” appear at the end of the visual.
