Dak, Girlfriend Welcome Newborn Daughter

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is a very happy man right now, as is his girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos.

On Monday, Prescott told reporters that he and his girlfriend welcomed a newborn daughter into the world last Thursday. "Baby MJ," as Prescott lovingly referred to her, and Ramos are both in good health, the quarterback says.

CowboysSI.com's Bri Amaranthus was among the many reporters on the scene, who got to hear firsthand how Prescott is adjusting to his new set of responsibilities.

"Yeah I feel different, especially wake up in the morning, you see that baby and understand the responsibilities," Prescott said. "Everything that I've always wanted for myself, but to want that for somebody else even more. It's special. Everybody's healthy and at home. We're blessed."

Prescott said he's already changed a handful of diapers, but he's trying to "pass that job along" soon.

The couple initially announced they were expecting a child in November.

As Prescott enters this new chapter in his life, the Cowboys signal-caller is eager to see anything and everything it may bring.

“Being able to raise a little girl, I’m excited for the challenges,” Prescott said in November. “Blessed, super blessed to have that responsibility, but at the same time to have the opportunity to start a family and bring a child into this world.”
