Pita Way is on its way to opening two new locations in Ann Arbor, according to news reported by MLive . The two locations are located at 5609 Jackson Road , as previously covered by What Now Detroit , and 500 E. William St., a second Ann Arbor location. Both locations are anticipated to open in April or May of 2024 . The space at 500 E. William St. was previously occupied by the popular pizzeria Neo Papalis , which closed in 2021 after a devastating fire.

Pita Way started in Clarkston in 2010, founded by West Bloomfield entrepreneur Brandon Bahoura when he was only 25. The brand rapidly expanded and grew. Nowadays, there are 27 locations, three of which are out-of-state stores in Ohio and Tennessee. All Pita Way restaurants are owned and operated by the company under a unique 50-50 profit-sharing program.

“During the time when Pita Way was opening stores in White Lake, Auburn Hills, etc., Brandon had the idea that he wanted to grow with the right people in a unique way that ensures the most longevity and growth,” Pita Way Marketing Director Kipp Quarton told What Now Detroit over the phone.

The profit-sharing program allows the right individual to truly benefit from a robust growing brand and is different from any other traditional franchising structure. Alternatively, Pita Way also offers a Managing Partner Program where qualified individuals can buy into a 49-51 ownership split. For those interested in partnering with Pita Way, more information can be found on the company’s franchise page .

The business is currently actively hiring for both upcoming Ann Arbor locations. Each store is anticipated to have 15 to 20 employees, according to MLive ‘s coverage.
