Darius Rucker Candidly Discusses Fan Hook Ups: Claims Denials are Lies

Some things are better left unsaid and some questions left unanswered, but when they are answered without hesitation and complete honesty, well, it's worth a story.

Darius Rucker did an interview with a Louisiana radio station, 100.7 The Tiger, and host Brittany Rose.  Within the time spent on the show Off the Record , Rucker was candid.

The guests on the show pick a random question from a stack of folded papers in a pile.  Rucker's question was, "Have you ever hooked up with a fan?"

With a single second of hesitation, Rucker answered.  "Of course. If somebody says no, they're lying."

Rucker has been in music since he co-founded Hootie & the Blowfish in 1986 at the University of South Carolina.  Eight years later their debut album "Cracked Rear View" sold over 16 million copies in the United States alone.

Being blunt and providing an honest answer to the question wasn't too surprising as Rucker was the frontman for Hootie & the Blowfish and on tour for many years before marrying his former wife in 2000 - a marriage that lasted nearly 20 years.

Rucker has enjoyed a very successful solo career in the Country Music industry and has released his sixth solo album, "Carolyn's Boy" in October 2023.

Rucker will continue to be busy this year with tour dates as a solo artist followed by a complete touring schedule with the guys from Hootie & the Blowfish.
