    PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Ridgeview won the indoor track championship while Eureka captured the girls title at the Heart of Illinois Conference indoor meet at Shirk Center on Friday.

    Natali Roth helped Eureka win the girls championship as she won the 800 meters and was on the winning 4×400 relay team.

    Dominic Martin led the way for Ridgeview with wins in the triple jump, 60 meter hurdles and 4×200 relay.

    Eureka finished second in the boys meet, El Paso-Gridley was the girls runner-up.

    In high school baseball, Limestone and Pekin won on Friday. Danica Frazier pitched Olympia to a 5-1 win over Brimfield in an early season match-up of small school central Ilinois softball powers.

    Three Morton seniors signed their letters of intent for college sports: Addy Engel (ICC basketball), Isabella Hutchinson (St. Ambrose basketball) and Emelia Miller (St. Ambrose soccer).

    Three Metamora seniors signed letters of intent at a school signing ceremony: Karagan Hartnett (Spoon River College softball), Jack Graf (Spoon River College baseball), Madi Kerns (Aurora University golf).
