(WHTM)– A New Jersey Korean War veteran made his way back to Fort Indiantown Gap 73 years after he was last there for basic training.

Joseph Nunziato spent four months there for basic training and on Sunday, with a little help from family and friends, he was welcomed back for his 95th birthday.

“We’re gonna drive him around and show him as much as we can, we do have a few stops planned where there are some soilders training on the ranges, we’re also going to show him our museum which has artifacts from the Korean War, WWII, Vietnam War but he served in the Korean War so we hope to point some of them out to him,” Major General Mark Schindler said.
