Along the banks of Victoria Harbour—just across the street from Avenue Of Stars in the Kowloon region—you'll find the oldest operating hotel in all of Hong Kong. The Peninsula Hong Kong was opened in 1928, and is in the process of planning its massive 100 year anniversary festivities that are quickly approaching. Champagne corks will pop, bands will play, people will dance, art will be displayed, delicious food will be enjoyed, and we'll toast to another 100 years of excellence on the Kowloon side.

With 10 restaurants on property, the hotel's food and beverage outlets are a direct extension of the hospitality and culinary excellence exuding from every employee and at every turn inside the historic operation. The restaurants include the gourmet One Michelin-Starred restaurants Gaddi's (French) famous for launching one of the first chef's tables in Hong Kong & Spring Moon (Cantonese) which is sometimes credited as creating XO sauce, Philippe Starck-designed Felix (Contemporary European), Imasa (Japanese), and Chesa (Swiss).

The Lobby is famous for serving traditional English-style Afternoon Tea, reminiscent of Hong Kong's colonial era, and you can also enjoy this experience on weekends on The Peninsula x Star Ferry Culinary Voyage . A primary adult beverage you'll find available outside of the delicious tea offering is their private label Champagne bottling, made in conjunction with Champagne Deutz . In the past they have also created a private label bottling from English sparkling wine producer Coates & Seely in the South of England, outside of Whitchurch.

Paired meticulously with their tasting menus throughout the property are also their private label bottlings of Chardonnay & Pinot Noir with Keller Estate in Petaluma—Sonoma, California USA and Bordeaux blend made with Château Calon Ségur in Saint-Estéphe, Bordeaux—the Château's history dates back to first reference in 1147 when it was owned by Monseigneur de Calon , an important Bishop in the community—making it one of the oldest properties in Saint-Estéphe. Working with world class winemakers across multiple continents, The Peninsula Hong Kong is able to offer unique wine experiences to their guests that they can only enjoy within the walls of their storied hotel.

" With over 1,000 wine references on our list, we are growing with the highest standards to provide top wine experiences to all of our guests ," said Wingate Ng, Assistant Chef Sommelier of The Peninsula Hong Kong.
