Return of The Goat? Tom Brady Not Ruling Out Sensational NFL Comeback

He couldn't, could he? Once again the prospect of Tom Brady making a sensational return to the NFL is circulating.

Having retired at the end of the 2022 season after his Tampa Bay Buccaneers were soundly beaten by Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs, the thought of Brady returning was nothing more than that -- a thought.

Well, now it might just be more than a thought as the man himself has refused to completely shut the door on what would be a spectacular return to the NFL.

"I'm not opposed to it," Brady said on the DeepCuts with VicBlends podcast . "I don't know if they're gonna let me, if I become an owner of an NFL team, but I don't know if -- I don't know, I'm always gonna be in good shape, (I'll) always be able to throw the ball. So to come in for a little bit, like M.J. coming back? I don't know if they'd let me, but I wouldn't be opposed to it."

With Brady wanting to become a minority owner of an NFL team, it remains to be seen if that would be the deal breaker in any attempt for him to make a return to the league.

Having played for 23 years in the NFL and throwing for 89,214 passing yards and 649 touchdowns while being a seven-time Super Bowl champ, a 15x Pro Bowler, and a three-time NFL MVP, Brady's career is set in stone as one of the greatest ever.

A first-ballot Hall of Famer when the day comes, the league surely had a huge sigh of relief when Brady retired. But after his latest comments, the league will once again be looking over their shoulder as the shadow of the G.O.A.T. returning continues to loom large.
