ANTIGO — North Wood Blooms, in collaboration with Sola Eclipse and the West Elementary Family Advisory Network, is excited to announce a heartwarming initiative aimed at honoring and supporting local teachers while also giving back to the Boys and Girls Club of the Northwoods (BGCNW).

The goal of this campaign is to sponsor a single stemmed wooden rose for every educator in Antigo as a symbolic gesture of appreciation. Individuals have the opportunity to choose a deserving educator’s school to receive the flower during Teacher Appreciation Week from May 6-10.

As part of this partnership, profits from the sales of each Teacher Appreciation Campaign Rose will be generously donated to the BGCNW.

“We are excited to partner up with the BGCNW and give back to others who help our community students as well!” said Cherie Olson of the Family Advisory Network (FANs) of West Elementary. “Just this school year West Elementary gave back to Regi, the Food Pantry and the Human Society, so it only made sense to pay it forward.”

“We aim to shine a spotlight on all educators within our community, from those in daycare and after-school programming and from birth to graduation. Each of these educators plays a significant role in shaping and impacting our local community,” said Andi Gretzinger, proprietor of North Wood Blooms LLC.

At the heart of this campaign is the West Family Advisory Network, an organization of families that promotes programming and fundraising for enrichment activities in school.

“This idea came from a social media post on how we could come together as a community to support our teachers,” Olson said. “Being part of FANs, we celebrate teacher appreciation in the schools. Why do it for just one week when these flowers are such an amazing reminder of their impact all year!? We could not have done this without this collaboration with others.”

“I am thrilled to have been approached by Cherie and very excited to collaborate with Sola Eclipse,” said Gretzinger. “We have both found purpose and passion in working with wood flowers and happen to be in the same town. Rather than competing with one another, we aim to work together to make a bigger impact than we could alone. I hope we can inspire others to do the same.”

“I am honored to be working in collaboration with North Wood Blooms on this campaign — because the work that educators put into our children is so often underestimated, it is important they know how truly appreciated they are,” said Shannon Krimmer, owner of Sola Eclipse. “Andi and I have unique skills within the wood flower niche, and to put their collective power to use in honor of Antigo’s educators is incredible.”
