Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A guilty plea was made on Tuesday by a man who struck and killed two Nevada State Police officers last November.

Jamarcus Williams will be sentenced in June. He could receive as much as 20 years in prison for each of the two counts of DUI Resulting in Death.

Investigators say that Williams was driving impaired in the early morning hours of November 30 th when he struck Sergeant Michael Abbate and Trooper Alberto Felix on the Washington exit from 15N. The two were there to check on a driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel.

Williams fled the scene after hitting the troopers. Later that morning, Williams’ vehicle was found a short distance away. Inside the vehicle was one of the officer’s badges.

After a brief standoff at his home, Williams surrendered to officers.
