Ricky Pearsall breaks down underrated trait that separates him from other WRs on Morning Roast

It's the week after the 2024 NFL Draft, and the 49ers have a new, hopefully star receiver in first-round pick Ricky Pearsall. The Florida product joined the Morning Roast on Wednesday to talk all things 49ers, along with his taste in music, food, movies and more.

But what makes Pearsall special? What separates him? What's his underrated trait that makes him stand out?

Pearsall was asked that, and pointed to his attention to detail in his craft.

"Just my route-running understanding, I think," Pearsall said. "I really understand where to be at. I'm very consistent and disciplined in the spots that I'm at. The quarterback will never be guessing where I'm at. It's going to be a consistent spot.

"And then just that fluidity, man in the route running. That's what throws me off. Especially in defenses now, there's a lot of disguised coverages and moving pieces so being able to run your routes with your eyes up and seeing moving pieces and understand on the go while everything's happening so fast, I think I do a good job of that, and then just how detailed I am in my route running and the quality of it and how serious I take this on and off the field, really man. So I think that's what separates me."
