Junkies react to Dan Quinn's t-shirt: why does Drab think the controversy is such a big deal?

Forget Topgolf, because we’ve now got T-shirt-Gate in DC!

Dan Quinn wore a shirt at this weekend’s minicamp that had the block W logo with a couple of feathers coming off one end, seemingly a nod to the history of the organization…and it caused ALL Hell to break loose on social media.

JP Flaim reposted it on the JunksRadio X and made it the poll of the day asking if this is significant or meaningless, and EB IMMEDIATELY jumped on the latter.

“Here’s what happened: Dan Quinn is a frumpy, dumpy guy. He's a backwards hat guy, a guy that just has a pile of clothes. He's still in his hotel room or something and he's got a bunch of team-issued gear, he’s got gear fans send him, and he grabbed a t-shirt and he wore it,” Eric said. “He thought it was pretty cool and didn't even think twice about it. That's what happened.
And I also don’t think he cares.”

JP read some poll responses that ranged from “people are desperate and grasping for the name to come back” to “what's the meaningless reason to have this custom made?”

And to Cakes, well, a name change will happen, but sorry, folks, it ain’t gonna be Redskins.

“Insignificant, but Redskins is not happening, and on a side note, I like the feathers hanging off the new logo – looks great, and I don't have a problem,” he said.

Bish agrees fully, and JP says there’s ‘less than 1% of me that says it's maybe a trial balloon, they want to see the reaction to it and if the reaction is overwhelmingly positive.’

“I think I just put him on big dumb guy; he's for sure sloppy and he's just grabbing whatever he grabbed and he said, yeah, this, this shirt looks okay,” EB reiterated.

“There's no way he grabbed it going, ‘I’m gonna send a little quiet message here, make people talk,” Bish added.

“I dunno, I think he definitely noticed the feathers before he put it on; like I feel like it was a semi calculated move,” Cakes chimed in.
“He saw it and liked the way that looks, reminds him of the old gear mixed with the new so he wore it, but we’ll never know.”

And finally, Drab, whose X handle make him the king of t-shirt talk:

“Here's why it's not insignificant: it's a clear message from the fan base that they have to tie in the previous history of this team into the new brand,” Drabby said. “We all know it's not gonna be Redskins, but they have to figure out a way to bring the people back that love this city and this team by embracing the history. Maybe it's Warriors, or getting rid of the trash uniforms that they have that everybody hates – they have to figure out a way to embrace the history. He wore a feather on his shirt and everyone lost their mind all weekend. It was bigger than what Jayden Daniels was doing on the field.”
