Know the candidates you elect and get out to vote

Bladen County Republicans who voted in the March 5 ^th Primary Elections are now challenged with a Primary Run-off election! Several of the candidates in the March Primary were so close in votes, that a run-off has become necessary to determine who will be the final candidates for the Republican Party in November for Lt. Governor and for State Auditor. Republicans who are qualified, and who voted in the March Primary, are urged to return to their precinct voting sites on Tuesday, May 14 ^th , to cast their votes (once again!) for a candidate for one of those challenged positions!

Republican candidates in the Republican Primary Run-Off election for Lt. Governor are:

Hal Weatherman — Chief of Staff to former North Carolina Lt. Governor Dan Forest, and former US Representative Sue Myrick. Weatherman is also the Founder and President of the Electoral Education Foundation, a 501(c3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing election integrity efforts in North Carolina.

Jim O’Neill – O’Neill is an experienced prosecutor, and is currently serving his fourth term as Forsyth County District Attorney. Before becoming District Attorney, O’Neill served as an Assistant District Attorney in Forsyth County.

Republican candidates in the Republican Run-Off election for State Auditor are:

Dave Boliek – Boliek is an attorney, and is also a member of the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill Board of Trustees.

Jack Clark – Clark currently works as a staffer on the budget committee of the NC General Assembly. He holds a Masters in Accounting, is an active CPA, and has extensive audit experience.

Elections are a big issue in every county, and in every state in America! It is vitally important that qualified voters remain aware of what the issues of the day are, and who the candidates are.

Quite clearly, voting requires that a citizen also be informed about the process of voting, too. We will get the representatives whom we vote for, and as taxpaying citizens, we will bear the consequences for that vote. Thus, it is vitally important that voters know who the candidates are, and to cast their votes accordingly. See you at the polls on May 14 ^th !

Given the poor voter turn-out (so far) for the Bladen County Republican Primary run-off elections, I thought it might be necessary to provide some last-minute info for voters.
