There will be no land sale discussion at the upcoming May 20 meeting of the Charlotte Court House town council, as the ad didn’t get in the paper in time due to a mistake on the Gazette’s part. Legally, the town is required to run it seven days before the meeting.

This is about a town-owned piece of land on Tanyard Spring Road. For several decades, it was part of the infrastructure for Charlotte Court House, but that’s not the case anymore.

There is a correction from the previous reference to this discussion. The town isn’t opening the piece of land up for bids. Instead, town officials say they have an interested party and want to discuss a potential sale to this individual.

That discussion will take place at a future council meeting, as that’s no longer on the agenda for May 20.
