According to the Sheriff's Office report of the incident, the 9-1-1 call reported that there was CPR in progress on a male patient.
The report later revealed that the patient was a 52-year-old male staff member at the ski resort, who was assisting with trail maintenance when a tree fell on top of him. Sadly, he sustained life threatening injuries.
Medical care was immediately performed by ski patrol, and a Flight for Life Colorado helicopter was en route, but unfortunately, he died on-scene while aid was being given.
The identification of the decedent, as well as the cause and manner of death will be determined by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office, but the Office has stated that the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
