Cambridge advanced to sectional competition in 12 events out of the Deerfield track and field regional with top four finishes on Monday, May 20 at Deerfield High School.
Cambridge's boys qualified in six events and took fifth.
The 400 relay team of Travis Colts, Oden Jaskolski, Kyle Polster and Trevor Polster placed second in 46.23.
Trevor Polster was third in the 100 in 11.92. Owain Nelles took third in the 400 in 54.31. Drew Holzhueter finished third in the 300 hurdles in 42.85 and fourth in the 110 high hurdles in 16.08.
The 1,600 relay team of Holzhueter, Brian Hottman, Nelles and Elias Reese took fourth in 3:38.85.
Cambridge girls made it through in six events, finishing fifth.
The 400 relay team of Emillie Behm, Katherine Brown, Mya Lehmann and Tessa Schmude won in 53.81.
The 800 relay team of Schmude, Malinda Schneider, Ava Williams and Jill Thompson placed third in 1:53.07.
Tara Bettenhausen placed second in the 400 in 1:05.82.
Williams and Schneider finished second and third, respectively, in the 300 hurdles in 48.44 and 50.04.
Ava Williams was fourth in the 100 meter dash in 17.10.
The 1,600 relay team of Bettenhausen, Behm, Mara Brown and Macy Robinson took fourth in 4:29.59.
