    Homecoming for deputy injured after being shot in line of duty

    An Upstate Deputy who was critically injured after being shot in the line of duty is set now set to return home. As we previously reported, Oconee County Sheriff's Office Corporal Lucas Watts was shot by a suspect back in November.

    The Sheriff's Office now says that Corporal Watts will be released to his Oconee County home, Wednesday.

    Watts has been recovering at a rehab center in Georgia and the homecoming convoy is expected to come through Oconee County between 2 and 3 PM tomorrow afternoon.

    The Sheriff's Office says they will assemble on the bridge at Highway 11 and I-85. The public is encouraged to come out and shoe their support
