JUNKIES: How concerning is that photo of a very skinny Emmanuel Forbes?

You’ve surely seen that photo by now of Emmanuel Forbes over the weekend looking tiny next to a fan? JP isn’t convinced it’s real, maybe a doctored photo, but yikes.

“If you don't know, you would think the football player is on the right, because the guy on the left, who is Emmanuel Forbes, has toothpick legs, skinny arms and he's skinny,” JP said. “We've talked about Jayden Daniels being skinny, but this is like disturbingly skinny.”

“He looks like he’s 15,” Bish said.

JP noted how EB said during a break that being small wasn't a problem for Forbes last season in terms of durability and getting hit, but it is alarming that an NFL sophomore could pass for a high school sophomore.

“That could be doctored, but even if he is that skinny, I saw him play last year and he made tackles, he didn't shy away from contact. I'm not worried about that,” Eric said. “I just want him to cover, so as striking as it is, and I agree it looks ridiculous, that's not why he struggled.”

“Can you hold up though, in the NFL, as a cornerback if you have chicken legs?” JP shot back.

“I think you can, and if it becomes an issue, he'll just be like Deion and shy away from tackling when he's on the field,” was Eric’s response.

Great, and even Bish says Forbes looks bigger in uniform…but in an NFL where EVERY position is getting bigger, faster, stronger, can he really thrive the way the Commanders need him to?

“I would be a little concerned, because it just looks like, is he working out?” JP said.

“Some guys just have that, but it would concern me if he is having the same issues that he had last year,” Bish said. “They want him to be quick, and that was one of his strengths.”

“I like this aspect of Dan Quinn that they're trying to find what part of every player makes them special, so we can use it,” EB said. “With Forbes, they said he's great at returning punts and so he's been returning punts now…but the only downside to that is I'm thinking how many starting corners are full-time returners? You really don't want to expose your starting corner, so does that mean that they don't see him as a starting corner, or just as a spot returner when they need a big one, like Darrell Green back in the day?”
