    Hope 4 Heroes and Families Workshop planned

    The Council on Substance Abuse will present “Hope 4 Heroes and Families” information and benefits workshop from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on June 11, at South Alabama Electric Co-op.

    Randy Ross, Pike County Veterans Affairs Officer, said the information and benefits workshop will be very be of great benefit to military personnel and their families.

    The workshop topics will include enrolling in Veterans Affairs services, identifying priority groups, determining the difference between a veteran and humanitarian and understanding the PACT and Cleland Dole acts.

    “There will be one-on-one opportunities for questions and answers and that will be a very beneficial opportunity,” Ross said.

    Those who attend the information and benefits workshop are to bring their DD214, Certificate of Reference and ID.
