One dead, one seriously injured in Lorson Ranch shooting

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) held a media briefing on scene on Tuesday evening, and confirmed that one man had died and another was sent to the hospital with serious injuries following a shooting in the Lorson Ranch subdivision.
According to EPSO, the the initial report of shots fired was received just after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 10000 block of Abrams Drive. When deputies arrived, they found three adults at the home, two men who had suffered gunshot wounds and a woman who was unharmed.
EPSO said life-saving medical assistance was provided to the victims, however one of the men was pronounced dead on scene. The other man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, his condition upon arrival to the hospital is unknown, EPSO said.
The relationship between those involved is currently unknown, though EPSO said the investigation is ongoing. Deputies will likely be on scene for several more hours.
The El Paso County Coroner will determine the identity of the man killed, as well as the cause and manner of death.

ORIGINAL STORY: EPSO responding to shooting in Lorson Ranch

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) is responding to a shooting in Lorson Ranch on Tuesday evening, May 28.
EPSO posted on social media just after 9 p.m. and said law enforcement was responding for a shooting investigation in the 10000 block of Abrams Drive, in a subdivision east of Security-Widefield.
No additional details on the shooting were immediately available, however EPSO did say there was no known threat to the community.
FOX21 News has a crew on the way to the scene and will provide updates as information becomes available.
