Before Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers, the Chicago Cubs recalled Pete Crow-Armstrong once again. During his brief stint with Triple-A Iowa , the young outfielder was on a tear at the plate.

Pete Crow-Armstrong's initial demotion came as a surprise as he was improving during his time on the big-league roster. But he's back with the Cubs now, and Jed Hoyer appears set to handle the outfielder's deployment the right way.

Even if the Cubs feel Crow-Armstrong's offense needs work, batting at the bottom of the order frequently could help ease him along. He's an important part of the Cubs' future and it's time the team treats him as such.

Pete Crow-Armstrong has shown that he belongs on the Major League roster. If he gets sent down again, that's on the Cubs for poor management. It's good that they are owning up to that mistake after the week he's had.

    Raw Deal for Luis Vazquez

While one mistake was corrected, another one was made. With Luis Vazquez heading back to the minors, it's apparent that the Cubs are still wary of giving their prospects a chance.

During his first stint in Chicago, Vazquez had one plate appearance over two games. Given the Cubs' recent struggles, denying the young shortstop more looks is inexcusable.

Meanwhile, Nick Madrigal still holds a roster spot despite his underwhelming production . It's long past time for the Cubs to part ways with the infielder, but they could at least demote him if they still see potential in him.

Monday was a painful reminder of how poorly the Cubs have managed their roster this season. For whatever reason, the team continues to show faith in players who don't deserve it based on performance.

Madrigal has shown all he can do, and it's not very impactful. The quicker the Cubs can come to terms with it, the better off they'll be.
