Since “Until I Found You,” originally released in September 2021, became a chart topping hit in 2023, Stephen has kept himself booked and busy.

“We did our first tour ever which was amazing, we got the praises from artists like Elton John coming to some of those shows. And then we did things with Elton John and then… had a couple of streams go up and played a couple more shows in Europe. And then we've just been touring, touring and then releasing more music,” Sanchez said of what he’s been up to the last year.

Talking about the icon and legend Elton John coming to see him perform, Stephen shared, “he was in attendance at the Troubadour, he came and saw us at our first tour ever.”

With the Club Deluxe version of his 2023 album Angel Face , featuring 5 additional songs now officially out, Stephen shared the project is “definitely still in the the whole Angel Face world." Noting, “they’re just songs that didn't make it the first time that now are raising their hand the second time around."

“It's just nice to kind of like close the chapter a bit,” he continued, “because the sound is gonna change and the next record's gonna be different to this one. It feels good to kind of have the same sort of sentiment with these new songs, you know going hand in hand with the rest of the record.”

As for what that new era and sound will sound like, according to Sanchez, “it’s definitely gonna be real stories told through fictional lens, which would be great just in the same way that, you know, Angel Face was a real story told through fictional characters and you know, a dramatized version.”

Stephen also discussed working on a song with Dan Nigro and Amy Allen for the Disney+ Beach Boys documentary, putting “feelings of nostalgia” into his music, writing, and so much more. To catch it all, listen to the entire interview above.
