Sophia Bush celebrated her first Pride Month amid her new romance with her girlfriend Ashlyn Harris.
On Sunday, the “One Tree Hill” alum reposted a heartfelt message to her Instagram Story that read, “Pride is important because someone tonight still believes they’re better off dead than being themselves.”
She included her own sentiments, writing, “You are perfect. No matter how long it might take, you’ll find your people. And they will help you find more and more of yourself. It’s worth it. You’re worth it.”

At the time, she shared that she “didn’t expect to find love” with the former soccer star, 38, while going through her divorce from ex-husband Grant Hughes , whom she was married to for a year .
“I don’t know how else to say it other than: I didn’t see it until I saw it,” Bush wrote in a Glamour magazine essay.
She included her own message, writing, “You are perfect. No matter how long it might take, you’ll find your people. And they will help you find more and more of yourself. It’s worth it. “And I think it’s very easy not to see something that’s been in front of your face for a long time when you’d never looked at it as an option and you had never been looked at as an option.”
Although Bush and Harris initially met in 2019, they reportedly “bonded over their breakups” while attending the Cannes Lions Festival in France last summer.
At the time, an insider told Us Weekly the pair had “instant chemistry.”
