The man convicted of killing well-known music producer Kaz, is expected to spend the rest of his life behind behind bars.

Anthony Anders Jr., 29, was seated to life behind bars, without parole, on Monday for his connection to the deadly shooting Monday.

"To be there, and to see that and knows that he wont see daylight again is a good feeling, said Kaz's friend Ill Speak.

The shooting happened in 2022 on New Year’s Eve at Kaz’s studio. Authorities say Anderson shot Kaz, who died and his friend who survived.

"I miss his voice and everything about him," said Kaz's sister Crystal Terrell.

While two years have passed, Crystal still feels pain and doesn't understand why someone would take her brother's life, leaving his daughter without a father.

"I'm hurting, my mom hurting, but my niece, she's hurting the most," Crystal said.

Anderson was found guilty of four felony offenses, but it was the first degree, premeditated murder charger, that landed him his life sentence.
