CLAY COUNTY ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Sweet senior dog Red from the Clay County Animal Shelter is seeking a slow-going home to spend the rest of his days.

Red, a 13-year-old mixed breed boy, has had a rough go of things and would love to finally find a relaxing foster home where he can retire.

A resident of the shelter for six years, Red found a temporary home but had to be brought back to the shelter for reasons unrelated to him, according to shelter technicians.

Red can’t wait to join an easy-going family, and the best part is that his vetting, shots, flea and tick prevention, and heartworm medication have all been paid for.

This sweet boy would do best in a calm household where pets and affection are a constant.

To learn more about fostering Red, call the Clay County Animal Shelter at (940) 538-6757 . Or, visit their Facebook for more information .
