Lady Gaga Breaks Silence as Pregnancy Rumors Swirl

After fans started wondering if Lady Gaga was pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Michael Polansky , the singer expertly shut down the rumors with a new video.

The 38-year-old took to social media on June 4 to address the swirling rumors, sharing a clip of herself showing off her sharp eyeliner skills while lip-syncing to an audio clip that said, "I don't have to find an aesthetic. I am an aesthetic."

"Not pregnant-- just down bad crying at the gym," Gaga wrote, referencing Taylor Swift 's popular The Tortured Poets Department track, "Down Bad." She also used the moment as an opportunity to encourage people to register to vote at www.headcount.org.

The pregnancy rumors were based on new photos of Gaga in a black dress at her sister Natali Germanotta 's wedding over the weekend. Gaga and Polansky have been dating since early 2020 and have kept their romance relatively private over the years.

Fans of Gaga swiftly came to her defense, with some writing in the comments, "My mother was QUICK with a response lol," and "People are so mean.. You’re so beautiful inside and out!!!🥹🫶🏼."

"Honestly, absolutely legendary video like the true icon lady gaga is ❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥 beautiful as always," replied a third.

While quite a few fans were surprised to find out that Gaga was a fan of Swift, others took this as an opportunity to push for a collaboration between the two artists.

"Ok but the Taylor reference!! Girls give us a duet!! This is now a need," read one such comment, as someone else said, "PLS COLLAB WITH TAYLOR 🥹🥹🥹 I need a song called Bridges as you both have the best bridges ever."

One even suggested Gaga feature on a song on Reputation (Taylor's Version), Swift's upcoming re-recorded version of her 2017 album.

Many are also waiting for Gaga's next album, which she has confirmed she is currently working on. The singer-songwriter's last studio album was Chromatica, released in 2020.
