(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The First Friday art walk on June 7 will feature a new street art exhibit with 13 new murals and sculptures. The exhibit is part of a growing collection of public art headed up by Downtown Partnership’s Art on the Streets program which is dedicated to celebrating the power of art in public spaces.

Downtown Partnership, and its charitable nonprofit arm, Downtown Ventures, founded Art on the Streets in 1998 and has been beautifying Colorado Springs’ downtown area ever since.

To celebrate and promote this latest installment of seven sculptures and six murals, there will be a scavenger hunt downtown during the First Friday event on June 7. People of all ages can participate in the scavenger hunt and fill up their “passport” as they tour the public art downtown. The event is free, but donations are welcome. Pre-registration is required, and tickets are limited. Register here to sign up for the scavenger hunt.

Participants who complete the scavenger hunt can turn in their passports for prizes.
