Rose-Marie Kane dead: Tributes pour in after sudden death of singer

Irish singer Rose-Marie Kane has passed away suddenly aged 68 .

Tributes from fans and people in the industry are pouring in after her death was announced by her family on social media.

They wrote: “It is with heavy hearts and enormous great sadness, that we have to announce the sudden passing of our much loved Rose-Marie, in her beloved second home of Blackpool. Rest in Peace, dear heart.'

The singer who was originally from Co Down released 19 albums throughout her career and performed sold out shows around the world. She also dabbled with acting and was a former judge on the BBC show, Go For It. She appeared on The Royal Variety Show, Shooting Stars, Doctors, Big Brother's Little Brother and more.

Her friends and family have expressed their heartbreak on social media, saying that the sudden tragedy has left them reeling. One friend said that Kane was working on her twentieth album before her death.
