Rice Lake Elks Lodge #1441 Past Exalted Ruler Jeff Miller was elected state president-elect of the Wisconsin Elks Association for the 2025-2026 lodge year. The Leadership Team at Rice Lake Lodge #1441 will have a reception to honor Miller and his wife, First Lady-elect Barb, on Saturday, June 15. The reception begins at 3 p.m. Members are encouraged to bring friends as the lodge will be sharing the facilities with the community for this event.

A cash bar will be available, and a seasonal buffet will be offered for a freewill donation. Contributions will be sent to Camp Wawbeek, a respite camp at Wisconsin Dells, which is the Wisconsin Elks’ state major project.

Miller has been a member of the Rice Lake Lodge for 20 years. He has served as Exalted Ruler five times, including the year of the recent 100th anniversary of the local Lodge. He has chaired major lodge fundraisers. This includes the Elks National Foundation committee, which if goals are met by donations of members, grants are available from Grand Lodge returning $10,000 or more to the local community.

In addition, Miller has been membership chairperson, trustee, mentor and overall cheerleader. He attends all events and is always ready to lend a hand — often on Friday nights, he greets members attending the weekly fish fry and shows them to their table.

Following the Elks Care, Elks Share motto, Miller has done work at the district and state level, serving as the vice president of Northwest District for two consecutive years and past district deputy to the grand exalted ruler. His appointments to state committees are numerous, and most recently he was chairperson of the Youth Activity Committee.

The local Elks’ Leadership Team wishes the Millers safe travels as they visit all the state lodges and attend various state activities.
