Mount Rushmore Week: Fritz's best Philly pro teams since 1990

Mount Rushmore Week kicked off on WIP Afternoons on Monday, with Fritz listing the top four Philadelphia pro teams since 1990.

The Mount Rushmore looked like this:

The 2017 Eagles

"First team to win a Super Bowl, dominated the regular season, dealt with the Wentz injury, and still win the Super Bowl with Nick Foles," Fritz said for why they get the top spot.

The 2008 World Series champion Phillies were next, followed by the 2000-01 76ers, who fell to the dynasty Lakers in the NBA Finals.

"I know they didn’t win," Fritz said. "But when you think about the best runs, the most memorable teams…the step-over, probably with the Philly Special as the two most iconic moments."

The final spot, which caused a heated debate, went to the 2004 Eagles, who Fritz said were the best Eagles team of his lifetime, leading Spike to passionately make the case for the 1993 Phillies as the team that should have taken the last spot.
