One person dead after vehicle strikes ATV head-on

MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One person is dead after a vehicle struck an ATV head-on.

According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 3:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to Grafton Road near the intersection of Horseman’s Trail for a two-vehicle accident.

A 2014 Toyota Tundra was traveling northbound in the southbound lane while overtaking other northbound traffic and a 2024 Honda ATV was traveling in the southbound lane.

The Toyota Tundra struck the Honda ATV head-on in the southbound lane.

The driver of the ATV died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

This accident remains under investigation and no names will be released at this time, according to police.
