2023 Hopkins County Dairy Festival Queen Caroline Prickette waves to the parade-goers from atop her float at the front of the 2024 Hopkins County Dairy Festival Parade June 8.
The annual Hopkins County Dairy Festival Junior Dairy Show was once again a big draw for local youth. Among the dairy cows judges were Brown Swiss, Dairy Classic, Holstein, Jersey and other breeds.
In addition to pageant contestants and their parents, five hot air balloon pilot teams joined in the fun, trying their skills at milking a cow during the Hopkins County Dairy Festival Bobby McDonald Milking Contest Saturday afternoon, Staff photos by Faith Huffman
In keeping with the Dairy Festival theme, Night at the Moo-seum, West Oaks Funeral Home's parade entry was an "Amooya Airheart Xzibit," complete with cow "pilots"and a small "aircraft."
