A WALMART shopper is feeling slighted after being charged extra to check out faster.

They said signing up for one feature of Walmart+ was a total mistake.

In a Reddit post on the Walmart subreddit, one customer vented about their experience with a specific perk of the store's premium membership.

"I just bought a year of Walmart+ because this is listed as [a] 'benefit.' I was excited to use. F*ck me, right?" entitled the post.

The user went on to explain that Walmart's long lines often drive them away from the store.

One thing seemed like an obvious solution to combat this.

After seeing an advertisement for a faster checkout experience with Walmart's Scan & Go, program, they signed up immediately.

Scan & Go is described by Walmart as a timely resource for its shoppers.

The contact-free option allows customers to shop and checkout with their phone in-store and was created with the intention of saving shoppers time.

But it was a mistake according to one customer.

"Even if you qualify, the Faster Checkout program is not even available to use at any Walmart, like, anywhere," explained the Redditor.

They also said using Scan & Go makes it "actually more difficult" to check out because there are only 1-2 stations designated for the program.

This meant they had to "wait in a super long line behind Spark drivers."

On top of this, they described their experience of being turned away by Walmart staff upon inquiring about Scan & Go protocol.

"The associate working had to ask for a manager because they didn’t know what Scan & Go even was," they wrote.

They claimed the manager told them they were the only person she'd seen using it in over a month.

"Can I get my money back?" questioned the customer, pondering why the feature is offered if it's not being used.
