    The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning effective until 7:30 PM EDT for southeastern Lapeer County, northern Macomb County, and St. Clair County in southeastern Michigan. At 6:10 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was detected over Almont, tracking east at 40 mph. The storm poses a threat with 60 mph wind gusts and penny-sized hail, which could cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees. The storm is expected to pass near Almont at approximately 6:15 PM EDT and reach Memphis and Emmett around 6:30 PM EDT. Other areas that may be affected include North Street, Rattle Run, Goodells, Brockway, Smiths Creek, Wadhams, Riley Center, Fort Gratiot, Allenton, and Avoca. Residents, especially those at Marysville Municipal Park, are urged to find safe shelter immediately. Motorists on I-94 between mile markers 262 and 273, as well as those on I-69 between mile markers 170 and 199, should be cautious and prepared for severe weather conditions.
