Waynestock celebrates 25 years of rocking out

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WVNS) — Waynestock Outdoor Adventure and Music Festival is kicking off its 25th year!

Held annually at Cantrell Ultimate Rafting, this music festival was named one of the Best Outdoor Festivals in the country by Outside magazine in 2023.

Beginning all the way back in 1999 as just a simple rafting trip for friends, Wayne Lesperance, the founder, said he is happy with what its now become.

“What we pride ourselves on is if you look around you’ll notice there are no vendors, there are no upsells or upcharges, the ticket prices are low. We want people to come here and not get bombarded with parking fees, there’s no parking fee, where do we park? Wherever you want!” said Lesperance.

Waynestock began on Thursday, June 13, 2024 and ends in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 16, 2024.

The lineup includes bands from all over the country and any genre you can think of.
