Adriana Harmeyer, the Purdue archivist on a historic Jeopardy! streak, kept on pulling from her seemingly limitless knowledge to win again Thursday.

In her 12th victory, her competition wasn't particularly close to her. Mike Flanagan, a non-profit executive in a blazer, took third, though he answered correctly in Final Jeopardy! The question asked, from the category "!960s British novels," was:

The author of this novel said of the last chapter left off U.S. editions, "My young thuggish protagonist grows up."

Flanagan began, answering "A Clockwork Orange." He wagered $726 on the question, bringing his total to $5,126.

Scientific instructional technician Hakme Lee couldn't come up with anything before the tune working as a timer ran out, costing her $3,000 of her $9,200, and Harmeyer took the top of the podium in an anticlimactic game. The professor also thought of "Orange," bringing her daily total to $19,800.

Harmeyer smiled as the camera zoomed in and a 12-day total of $278,500 flashed across the screen. That brings her to 14th all-time, according to thejeopardyfan.com. The website, which tracks many facets of the game show, estimated Harmeyer had a 60% chance to win Thursday.

The archivist will be on again Friday night at 7:30 p.m., on CBS.
