If you are a parent to a toddler or young kid (or spend a lot of time around the little ones in this age group) there's a good chance you've heard of Bluey . However, as the mom to a four year old little girl, I'm willing to make the bold statement that no one knows Bluey quite as well as I do. For years, the episodes of the show about a family of Blue Heeler dogs have been playing on repeat in my house, and I can hear that jaunty theme song in my sleep. I don't hate it, though; there's a reason people often joke that Bluey is more of a show about parenting than anything else.

It's not just the preschool set who's obsessed with Bluey , though. Apparently, even actual dogs are into it, and this video is proof!

On Tuesday, June 11, @caligoldenretrievers shared a video of her Golden Retriever puppies running around their adorable little pen (complete with a comfy bed, a little slide, fake grass, and more) having the time of their lives as Bluey comes on the screen.

As soon as that theme song starts playing, they react a lot like a kid who is excited to watch the show does. Some of the puppies stop what they're doing and run over to see the TV, staring at the screen with rapt attention.

By the time the show has started, a couple of the puppies are sitting down, parked in front of the TV and getting comfy. They are into it!

Why Do Dogs Love Bluey ?

These puppies aren't the only ones obsessed with Bluey — it's a real phenomenon that many dog parents have discovered recently.

There are a few reasons that dogs love it so much , according to what the National Training & Behavior Coordinator for Best Friends Animal Society, Amanda Farah, told People earlier this year.

First of all, the show is animated in colors that dogs can see, which helps keep them interested, and has crisp, constant movement, which also keeps them engaged.

“When I watch Bluey , all I see is the movement. It's high-contrast movement, so the lines are sharp and crisp, which probably helps because dog's visual acuity is not as sharp as ours," Farah said.

She also mentioned that the Australian accents could be interesting for the dogs to hear, especially for American dogs who haven't heard that before, and that they are able to recognize that the show is about dogs, thanks to the way the characters are shaped, which makes them even more interested.

So you can feel good about letting your kids and your dog watch the show... and I won't tell if you're just as obsessed with it as they are. After all, it's a good show.
