DAVIE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A Piedmont Triad deputy is facing multiple charges after crashing into three cars last week.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Hannah Wittington, a deputy with the Davie County Sheriff’s Office, is facing multiple charges after multiple crashes early last week on Milling Road.

They say Whittington hit a car while trying to make a right turn, sideswiped another vehicle after going left of center and then hitting a pick-up truck head on.

Both Whittington and the driver of the truck had minor injuries. She’s charged with hit-and-run, DWI and traveling left of center.

She was not on duty at the time, according to the Davie County Sheriff’s Office, and has been suspended.
