    Rock out with free summer concerts across Newport County. What you need to know

    Summer is (almost) officially here, and one of the best ways for the entire family to enjoy the season is to kick back outside at a park or at the beach and listen to some live music.

    There are many opportunities to enjoy live music for free this summer at venues all around Newport County with some hosting food trucks and other vendors to help turn the night into a full event.

    Nimfest

    King Park, 125 Wellington Ave., Newport

    All concerts 3-6 p.m., concerts canceled due to weather are not rescheduled.

    Music in Paradise 2024 Monday nights in July at Paradise Park

    Enjoy a peaceful night of music under the backdrop of the historic Boyd’s Windmill in Middletown’s Paradise Valley Park! Food trucks available and music from 6-8 pm.

    July 22: Atwater-Donnelly Trio

    July 29: Toe Jam Puppet Band , Kids Concert (6-7 p.m.)

    Second Beach Music Series 2024 Monday nights in August

    Bring your family down to Second Beach and enjoy some live music, food trucks in the parking lot and fire pits on the beach! Open to the public, free and family friendly!Music from 6-9 pm.

    Fireworks to follow the Aug. 26 show.

    No dogs at the beach after 7:45 a.m. Concerts are a smoke and alcohol-free event.

    Portsmouth Summer Concert Series

    All concerts are free and open to the public. There will be concessions will be available for purchase and children’sactivities. Guests are invited to bring chairs and a picnic basket. Should it rain, bring umbrellas.

    June 27 , 6:30–8 p.m.: Cee Cee and The Riders at Sandy Point Beach

    July 9 , 5:30–7:30 p.m.: Family Night with the Toe Jam Puppet Band at Glen Park

    July 25 , 6:30–8 p.m.: The 40 at Leonard Brown House

    Aug. 11 , 12:30–4 p.m.: Family Day with David Garrity, Illusionist (1:30 p.m.) and Bryson Lang, Comedy-Juggler (3 p.m.) at Glen Park

    Aug. 20 6:30–8 p.m. Country Wild Heart at Glen Park

    Tiverton Summer Concert Series

    All shows are from 6-8:30 p.m. at Bulgarmarsh Recreational Area . ​All shows are free, family-friendly events. Please note that dogs (other than service dogs) are not allowed.
