New details have emerged about the tragic murder of social media influencer Gabby Petito, who was killed by her fiance in 2021. A letter has revealed a plea the young man made to her partner before the cold-blooded murder.

Gabby, 22, was killed by her abusive partner Brian Laundrie during a cross-country trip in their van. She was killed by Laundrie in the summer of 2021, and her body was discovered near a Wyoming campsite weeks later after weeks of frantic searching by her parents.

Laundrie disappeared after her death. His remains were later found in a Florida park, along with a suicide note.

The FBI has released 350 new documents from the 2021 murder case, including a letter between Gabby - whose autopsy recently revealed more horrifying details - and Laundrie.

Gabby begged Laundrie to show her to "stop calling her name" in a heartbreaking extract from the letter. She wrote: "Just please stop crying and stop calling me names because we're a team and I'm here with you."

Gabby blamed herself for this behavior, writing: "Yes, I can be a child sometimes I know, but it's 'cause you give me this energy and I just love you too much. Like so much it hurts. So you in pain is killing me. I'm not trying to be negative, but I'm frustrated there's not more I can do."

Now, her father is determined to help the search for missing people all over the country , especially people of color.

Speaking to PEOPLE, he said, "There's a hierarchy when it comes to missing person fliers being shared," noting that "Kids go first, then White women and then women of color."

The Gabby Petito Foundation has been actively supporting the work of organizations like the Black and Missing Foundation, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Relatives, and made a significant donation of $100,000 in 2022 to the National Domestic Violence Hotline to enhance their capabilities.
