    The Chattanooga Police Department’s Homicide Unit successfully apprehended third suspect in connection with double homicide

    Chattanooga, TN – According to the police officials, the double homicide reportedly took place on May 1, 2024, in the 1100 block of Arlington Avenue.

    On June 17, 2024, CPD’s Homicide Unit located and arrested 19-year-old Jonathan Sawyer.

    Sawyer faces multiple serious charges, including First Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

    Following his arrest, he was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.

    The arrest of Sawyer marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation of the tragic incident on Arlington Avenue, where two individuals lost their lives.

    The Chattanooga Police Department continues to work diligently to bring all responsible parties to justice.
