    Narcotics investigation leads to the arrest of two and discovery of drugs worth over $25,000

    MUSCOGEE COUNTY, Ga. ( WRBL ) – The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office is sending a message to locals; “We won’t stop until they stop,” after two people were arrested following a narcotics investigation that led to the discovery of drugs, firearms and over $13,000 in cash.

    According to the sheriff’s office, the special operations unit executed search warrants at two residences on Tuesday that resulted from a narcotic investigation.

    During the search of both places, authorities seized the following evidence:

    • 4.4 pounds of marijuana valued at $19,888
    • 126 grams of psilocybin mushrooms worth $1,512
    • 160 packages of THC edibles valued at $3,200
    • 24 disposable THC pens worth $1,056
    • Eight firearms (one reported stolen)
    • $13,020 in cash
    • Two vehicles

    Authorities also arrested Zoeie Thomas and Dequan Aldridge after the investigation and took them to the Muscogee County Jail. Thomas and Aldridge are charged with:

    Thomas

    • Felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
    • Felony possession of THC with intent to distribute
    • Two counts of felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
    • Felony possession of psilocybin

    Aldridge

    • Felony bench warrant for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
    • Felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
    • Eight counts of felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
    • Felony theft by receiving stolen property (firearm)
    • Felony trafficking psilocybin
    • Obstruction of a law enforcement officer
    • Possession of drug-related objects.
