KENT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Jun. 4 Following a traffic stop on Main Street, Galena, DFC F. Baker arrested Polina Serguevna Tsapienko, age 27, of Newark, DE. Tsapienko was charged with: driving under the influence of alcohol; driving while impaired by alcohol; and associated traffic charges. Tsapienko was released to a sober driver after being issued citations.

Jun. 5 DFC D. Parent served a Kent County Circuit Court Body Attachment for failure to appear on James Brian Haas, age 41, of Rock Hall. Haas was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

Jun. 5 DFC D. Parent served two Circuit Court Bench Warrants, both for failure to comply on Montrail Cortez Montgomery, age 30, of Chestertown. Montgomery was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

Jun. 7 D/S B. Collins served three Kent County Circuit Court Bench Warrants for failure to appear on Patricia Lynn Adkins, age 46, of Church Hill. Adkins was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

Jun. 8 DFC C. Rhodes investigated the burglary of two parked vehicles in the 11000 block of Station Road, Worton. Two vehicles were entered and ransacked on the victim’s property. Under investigation at the time of this report.

Jun. 8 Sgt S. Maloney investigated a theft that occurred in the 9200 block of American Legion Drive, Chestertown. The victim reported that items stolen from the residence were valued between $1,550 and $25,000. Under investigation at the time of this report.

Jun. 8 Cpl. D. Nolan investigated an assault that occurred in a vehicle on Galena Sassafras Rd., Galena. The victim reportedly was assaulted by Benjamin Galen Ferris, age 45, of Wilmington, DE. Ferris was arrested and charged with second degree assault. He was later released by the District Court Commissioner on his own recognizance.

June 9 DFC A. Freeman investigated an assault that occurred in the 11000 block of Hackett Road, Worton. The victim reported being assaulted by a known suspect. When deputies arrived the suspect had left the scene. Under investigation at the time of this report.

Jun. 9 DFC C. Rhodes served a Worcester County District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear on William Leo McGuire, age 33, of Milford, DE. McGuire was released on his own recognizance by the District Court Commissioner.

Jun. 9 DFC M. Piasecki investigated an assault that occurred in the 8000 block of Tolchester Road, Rock Hall. The victim reported being assaulted by a known suspect. Under investigation at the time of this report.

Jun. 10 DFC D. Parent served a Kent County District Court Bench Warrant for violation of probation on Leslie Lynn Leonard, age 37, of Chestertown. Leonard was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
