CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco released his annual list of top 100 players in the NFL heading into the 2024 season, and before looking through the list, The Sports Junkies pondered how many Commanders would be named.

“We might have zero in the top 100,” EB said, noting that players would have to likely be top five at their respective positions to make the list. “I love Terry [McLaurin], but I don’t think he’s a top-five receiver.

“Maybe Bobby Wagner? I’m gonna say zero.”

Bish agreed that Wagner is too far past his prime to be listed, but gave Washington a chance to have a single entry.

“I’ll say Jonathan Allen is the only one,” Bish said.

JP revealed the answer, and it was zero. Not a single Commander was listed in the top 100. Montez Sweat, a former Commander, was listed at 73, while Allen and McLaurin were honorable mentions. None of the Junks were too surprised by the absence of any Commanders players, though it wasn’t a good look for the former regime that clearly didn’t build a respectable roster.

“This is very damning for Ron Rivera,” JP said. “There’s not one player that Ron brought into the building in four years that made this list? That’s embarrassing for him.”
