Exclusive Blackwater Lane Clip Previews Lionsgate’s New Horror Movie

ComingSoon is exclusively debuting a new Blackwater Lane clip from the Minka Kelly horror movie , which is out in select theaters and digitally today, June 21, 2024.

The horror thriller movie from Lionsgate stars Dermot Mulroney (Anyone But You, Scream VI), Minka Kelly (500 Days of Summer, Friday Night Lights), and Maggie Grace (Taken, Lost). It follows a woman who is visited by some sort of ghostly presence, which then causes her to begin questioning her sanity.

“Minka Kelly, Dermot Mulroney, and Maggie Grace star in Blackwater Lane, a supernatural thriller based on the wildly successful New York Times bestselling book by B.A. Paris. After witnessing a tragedy on a dangerous country road, Cass is visited by a ghostly presence and begins to question her sanity,” the official synopsis reads. “As these otherworldly experiences intensify, Cass is driven closer to the brink until she begins to assemble the pieces of a horrific plot against her.”

What happens in the Blackwater Lane clip?

The Blackwater Lane clip shows all three leads as they discuss a woman named Jane Walters, who was murdered, and was the mother of two-year-old twins. Both women discuss chance encounters with Walters before her death.

Blackwater Lane is directed by Jeff Celentano , who previously made 1998’s Gunshy, 2000’s Primary Suspect, 2004’s Moscow Heat, 2009’s Breaking Point, and 2023’s The Hill, among other titles.

The script was written by Elizabeth Fowler. Fowler also produces the movie alongside Shaun Sanghani, Lucinda Rhodes Thakrar, and Warren Ostergard. Alan Calton (Murder on the Orient Express, Austinland) and Natalie Simpson (Outlander, Les Miserables) also star with Mulroney, Kelly, and Grace.
