A south-central Missouri organization that supports Fort Leonard Wood will have its annual meeting Aug. 14 at The Ark Community and Sports Center at Waynesville.

The Sustainable Ozarks Partnership (SOP) meeting will focus on the various partnerships with Fort Leonard Wood and how our regional strategies are strengthening the installation and the region.

It will also share organizational accomplishments from the past year and describe objectives for the coming year.

“As this year’s meeting theme suggests we look forward to sharing with everyone how our regional partnership continues to effectively support Fort Leonard Wood and our communities. We are excited about our lineup of speakers and for our business, governmental, civic, military leaders and community members from the four-county region to come together and talk about our support for our mission-essential installation,” said Executive Director Dorsey Newcomb.

Those attending this year’s meeting will hear from federal, state, and military leaders about the importance of the Fort Leonard Wood Region’s partnerships as the U.S. Army and Department of Defense look to build enduring advantages and achieve strategic objectives.

The event is free and open to the public. Those wishing to attend should RSVP by Friday, Aug. 9, 2 through this link: https://forms.gle/Enrp1CioS2eLEjzs6 . RSVPs are needed to plan accordingly for the venue and to get an accurate lunch count. Any questions about the annual meeting can be sent to: info@sustainableozarks.org .
