Kids Spot Grandma in Walmart and It's Like a Celebrity Sighting

One of the best things about kids is that they're not jaded when it comes to everyday experiences. A trip to the grocery store might be a tedious chore to you, but it's an interesting adventure as far as your little one is concerned. And every now and then, something pleasantly out-of-the-ordinary really does happen!

In a video posted on June 20, a mom and her sons are at Walmart when one of the little boys makes a super exciting discovery...grandma is shopping at Walmart, too. From the way the kids react, you'd think grandma was the biggest star on the planet (and that's exactly what she is to her grandsons!).

"Why are kids always so excited to see someone they know when running errands ?!" wrote @vanessahndzz . You really can't blame them! Grandma is most likely one of their favorite people in the world, and it's like she materialized from out of nowhere. Commenters loved their sweet reaction .

"Grandma in the wild. He was bewildered," wrote Ttotheeenuh.

"That's not just anybody out running errands though. THAT'S GRANDMA," wrote Ms. Understood.

It doesn't get much better than a trip to Walmart with grandma! Running errands with little kids can be tough sometimes, but this video proves the experience is worth it.

How to Make Running Errands With Kids Easier

Before you head to the store with your child, it's best to have a " clear-cut plan " in place, according to The Everymom.

Talk to your kid about where you're going, what you'll do when you get there, and how long it's going to take.

"Talking through it also distracts your child as time passes while you get your errand done."

Running errands is one time when you might want to consider offering a child a reward for good behavior. And be sure to get them involved in the shopping process (give them a choice between items, ask them for help finding products, etc.).

Whenever possible, you should try to make your errands as brief as possible. If your kid's mood starts going sour, consider cutting things short.

"It’s much more pleasant to get 75% of your errands done with a happy toddler than 100% of your errands done while enduring a tantrum."

In an ideal world, every shopping trip would include a surprise appearance from grandma, but you can still check off pretty much everything on your to-do list either way...at least most of the time!
