After giving birth, many moms want to tell the world about their baby right away. And if you're a mama Corgi named Sydney, you can't wait to share the news with your dedicated followers. Though Sydney gave birth mere days ago, she's introducing her litter to the world and we're all #blessed to meet them!

On June 18, 2024, Kern River Corgis ( @kern.river.corgis ) shared the adorable video of Sydney's new brood on TikTok and it's the cutest thing you'll see today! Meet the sweet potato crew below!

"Introducing Sydneys Sweet Potatoes! The last puppy is our runt and he is just the cutest thing. I am so in love," the caption reads. The video begins with Sydney lying down while her seven puppies get a little milk drunk as they figure out the world around them.

Next, the video cuts to individual shots of each baby with their name. Sydney's potato-inspired litter go by Chip, Gnocchi, Tater Tot, O'Brien, Fritter, Pierogi, and Small Fry. In a prior video showing Sydney in labor, an eighth baby unfortunately doesn't make it. But the good mom takes to loving on the rest of them right away.

"Cuties. Makes me think of my Corgi baby being this cute and tiny," one person said. "My heart just tripled in size," another wrote. "Would lay my life on the line for Gnocchi," another joked.

These little cuties are already winning with a mom like Sydney!

    Are Corgis Good "Family" Dogs?

As adorable as Sydney's pups are, if you're thinking of adopting a Corgi, there are some things to consider. Though they're known to be friendly, energetic, and eager to please, they were originally bred as herding dogs and require a good amount of mental and physical stimulation to feel fulfilled.

According to Pet MD, giving them a job or training them to learn new tricks will help decrease their desire to dig or chew. With their high energy level and pack mentality, early socialization is key. They're more likely to do well in a family home if they're raised with children and other pets, but they also have the instinct to bite or nip at running heels, such as their herding ancestors.

Another thing to note is that Corgis bark a lot and have a "big dog" mentality—again with the herding!—so they make great guard dogs.

Any dog can be a great family dog if raised and/or trained properly. Corgis are loyal, vocal dogs that will no doubt love and protect the family as much as any other dog. It's all in how you raise them!
